These skills will enable you to engage in any situation confidently, enthusiastically, and successfully. Using nonverbal communication and language patterns to access specific mindstrings will allow you to reframe any situation and anchor positive feelings in those you encounter. Manipulating a mindstring is a means of provoking or controlling a stimulus response that has been programmed into the mind. – your own or someone else’s. We can manipulate a mindstring to persuade an individual on an unconscious level. Cognition is a collective term for intellectual functions that includes awareness, memory and language. Research within the psychology of ageing involves the study of the cognitive changes that occur during normal and pathological ageing, and also how factors like gender and hormones affect cognitive ability. Learn to UNDERSTAND the differences in cognitive functions (special focus on gender differences) and memory functions between generations. Women and men are very different at various stages of life. For example, middle aged women tend to outperform middle aged men in verbal memory tasks. Younger and middle aged men outperform younger and middle aged women on highly spatial episodic memory tasks. The possible explanations for these differences, found throughout the lifespan, are discussed, specifically focusing on the potential effects of gender equality.
