The above left photo is me completing the New York City Marathon. Do you know how I did it? I ran the marathon in a state of WAKING self-hypnosis.  Ask anyone who knows me and they will tell you, I am not a runner. I loathe running. However,  one year I decided my birthday present to myself would be a challenge of perseverance: running the New York City Marathon. 

I have two herniated and one bulging disc in my lower back and one in my neck so the challenge is a big one. I also have two brain tumors, a mass in my pericardium and thyroid nodules.  To boot, When I made this decision, I had never run further than five miles.

Why do I share this?  One reason. Hypnosis can help change your life. It changed mine.  I gave birth to my son, Jaidan, while "under" hypnosis.  It was a beautiful, peaceful experience.  You can ask my husband how my first two babes came into the world - he'll tell you it was magnificent, than ask him if either was peaceful.

Although without hypnosis, I would not have been able to train (4am trainings because I am slow) every day nor would I have been able to RUN the entire 26.2 miles, I need to give credit where credit is due.   This book (which is not a promo because they don't even know I talk about it) taught me a lot about how to train - that part was key to my understanding some of the crazy things I had to do. .
